Lead Reimbursement Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Execute all billing and collection tasks for designated fee-for-service and third-party facilities.

• Manage billing and collections pertaining to Medicare, Medi-Cal/Medicaid, counties, commercial insurance, and the members served.

• Stay informed about relevant CPT and other coding updates.

• Oversee fee-for-service and/or contract billing rates.

• Relay coding and billing-rate modifications to the relevant stakeholders at Telecare.

• Occasionally travel to locations where Telecare operates or intends to operate.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of five (5) years of previous medical billing experience, or two (2) years of college coupled with one (1) year of healthcare experience.

• In-depth knowledge of Medicare, Medi-Cal/Medicaid, and commercial insurance plans.

• High proficiency in computer skills, particularly in Excel and Word.

• Capability to work independently, drawing on extensive reimbursement experience and sound judgment.

• Proven ability to work with advanced automated billing systems.

• Candidates must undergo fingerprinting and obtain clearance from the Department of Justice and The Office of Inspector General.

• Must be at least 18 years old.

• Completion of a relevant post-offer physical examination is required.

• Successful completion of a 2-step PPD test for tuberculosis is necessary.

• Acceptable criminal background clearances are mandatory.

• Verification of acceptable excluded party sanctions, as well as degree or license verification, is needed.

• A valid driver's license, motor vehicle clearance, and proof of auto insurance are required if the position involves driving.
