
Lead Project Planner – Hydropower

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the development, integration, optimization, and upkeep of project schedules and baselines for intricate projects.
• Establish the project planning methodology, scheduling strategy, and governance in accordance with execution strategy and contractual obligations.
• Facilitate the development and freezing of baselines across various project functions.
• Conduct advanced schedule analysis, which includes critical path analysis, float erosion assessment, impact evaluation, interface analysis, and what-if scenario modeling.
• Lead the identification of scheduling risks and opportunities, and drive the creation of mitigation, acceleration, and recovery plans with project teams.
• Assist or take charge of creating committed schedules, rebaselines, and scheduling strategies related to changes or delays.
• Ensure that planning deliverables meet the needs for project reviews, management decision-making, and customer communication.
• Conduct planning reviews with project leadership, customers, consortium partners, and other essential stakeholders as needed.
• Challenge execution assumptions and help shape project priorities through insights from the schedule and structured analysis.
• Oversee the quality of the schedule, planning assumptions, and the consistency of planning outputs.
• Mentor Planners and Schedulers while promoting planning standards, methodologies, and best practices.
• Support schedule-related claims analysis, delay assessments, and change impact evaluations as necessary.
• Contribute to the enhancement of planning processes, tools, and project execution practices.
• A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Over 10 years of planning and scheduling experience in EPC or similarly complex project settings.
• Advanced understanding of planning and scheduling methodologies.
• Proficient in Primavera P6 at an advanced level.
• Strong background in hydropower, energy, infrastructure, or industrial project execution.
• Experience in schedule recovery, change management, and delay analysis.
• Excellent leadership, collaboration, and communication abilities.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Willingness to travel to U.S. sites approximately 10% of the time.
• Ability to adjust work schedule to accommodate any U.S. time zone.
• Certifications such as PMI-SP, PMP, or AACE-PSP are preferred.
• Background in cost control and earned value management (EVMS).
• Familiarity with Lean principles and the Last Planner System.
• Experience with U.S. Government projects.
