Lead Program Support Specialist – ACF, OGM, OHS Cross-Regional Support

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Manage the daily operations of various federal grants-management projects independently.

• Supervise, mentor, and train team members effectively.

• Lead efforts in process documentation and quality control.

• Assign tasks and supervise grants resources.

• Ensure that deliverables are on time and meet quality expectations.

• Act as the primary point of contact for federal clients.

• Develop and revise standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality control processes.

• Contribute to progress and status reports for clients.

• Participate in client meetings to present team and task progress.

• Document actions and decisions made during meetings.

• Draft and maintain timelines, kickoff agendas, and work plans for projects.

• Prepare and monitor grants through the review and funding process.

• Analyze and review applications for grant funding, changes in scope, supplemental requests, and facilities.

• Engage with Head Start Program Directors in monthly meetings for regulatory guidance.

• Provide technical assistance regarding programmatic and fiscal performance.

• Liaise with federal and contractor grant and program staff on activities related to grant review, award, post-award, and closeout.

• Assist in site visits, desk reviews, and ongoing technical support.

• Prepare written reports for various stakeholders and audiences.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant grants or casework experience.

• At least 5 years of experience in grants management.

• Preferred at least 2 years of supervisory experience.

• Comprehensive knowledge of Head Start Program Performance Standards.

• Familiarity with the Head Start Enterprise System, Aligned Monitoring System, and Grant Solutions.

• PMP certification is a distinguishing advantage.

• Strong data analytics capabilities.

• Ability to present data effectively to diverse stakeholders and audiences.

• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.

• Capacity to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

• Proficient in reviewing, aggregating, and presenting data from various sources.

• Proven skills in written and verbal communication.

• Experience in developing process documentation, templates, quality control procedures, checklists, and training materials.

• Ability to adapt communication style according to customer needs.

• Willingness to work onsite at the Regional Office if necessary.

• Capability to pass background investigations and obtain Public Trust clearance.

• Willingness to travel.
