Lead Program Manager – Generative AI Data Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Oversee a comprehensive program of AI training data initiatives at scale.

• Establish program objectives, roadmap, milestones, and operational frameworks across various projects and vendors.

• Lead a team of Project Managers and Coordinators, providing goals, capacity plans, coaching, and performance evaluations.

• Manage the daily client relationship, overseeing governance, planning, and quarterly business review-style evaluations.

• Collaborate with the Manager of Quality to ensure quality outcomes, including guidelines, audits, acceptance criteria, and corrective measures.

• Plan and secure capacity for raters/annotators while optimizing shifts, handoffs, automation, and tools.

• Develop and oversee budgets, margins, and change orders.

• Maintain program RAID, conduct root-cause analyses and remediation, and escalate critical issues.

• Standardize standard operating procedures, templates, and dashboards; pilot and expand automation with Operations Technology.

• Ensure adherence to data management, privacy, and platform access policies.

• Collaborate with Sales/Account, Quality, Operations, and Vendor Management teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business, operations, data/engineering, or a related discipline.

• 5-8 years of experience leading large or multi-workstream initiatives in AI data, content review, labeling/annotation, or related fields.

• Demonstrated program-level expertise in high-volume environments, including vendor management and capacity planning.

• Proven track record in managing client relationships and facilitating governance processes.

• Expertise in program planning and portfolio governance across multiple projects.

• Leadership skills, including goal setting, coaching, delegation, and performance feedback.

• Excellent communication skills with senior client stakeholders and internal leadership.

• Proficient in the use of spreadsheets, project management/task boards, and business intelligence dashboards.

• Quality-oriented mindset with practical application of SOPs, quality assurance gates, and acceptance criteria.

• Strong judgment regarding scope, time, cost, and quality; skilled in negotiation and escalation.

• Ability to work effectively with global and distributed teams.

• Proficient in English.

• Familiarity with SQL/ETL concepts is an advantage.
