Lead Product Designer – Rentals

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the complete design process for the Rentals experience, catering to both renters and property managers, from the initial search to the signed lease.

• Establish the product vision and outline, prioritize, and sequence product initiatives for a new business venture.

• Transition swiftly from concepts to concrete evidence utilizing AI and prototyping tools.

• Develop authentic, testable artifacts for users and stakeholders.

• Collaborate with the Director of Product, Rentals, on strategic planning, scope, and trade-offs.

• Create the B2B experience from the ground up, including tools for property-manager listings, management, and renter connections.

• Conduct light user research and analyze funnel data.

• Make informed decisions using both quantitative and qualitative insights.

• Expand the design system when necessary and provide justifications for deviations when required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience as a product designer.

• A portfolio showcasing shipped products that illustrate design decisions, outcomes, and impacts.

• Experience in zero-to-one product development.

• Capability to make decisions with limited information and adapt based on data.

• Daily application of AI tools in the design process.

• Proven ability to demonstrate AI-assisted design work and explain where AI proves beneficial and where it does not.

• Systems thinking applicable to a multi-sided marketplace involving renters, property managers, listings, and the Redfin and Rocket ecosystem.

• Outstanding product design skills.

• Proficient in communicating product vision to engineers, executives, and skeptics.

• A resourceful and self-motivated approach.

• A sincere interest in the needs of renters.

• Experience in marketplaces or B2B products is advantageous.
