Lead Product Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design strategy and implementation for one or more product pillars from initial discovery to final delivery.

• Convert customer requirements, business objectives, product strategies, and technical limitations into design direction and experience roadmaps.

• Collaborate with product and engineering leaders to establish product vision, prioritize opportunities, and unify teams around high-quality results.

• Impact leadership decisions through customer understanding, data analysis, product insight, storytelling, and design justification.

• Facilitate design quality reviews and establish standards for usability, accessibility, interaction quality, visual consistency, and alignment with design systems.

• Guide and mentor designers, enhance critique processes, strengthen common patterns, and simplify the adoption of standards across various teams.

• Define and promote metrics for design quality and impact, including usability, compliance with accessibility standards, task success rates, adoption, retention, and customer satisfaction.

• Navigate complex discovery and design initiatives through uncertainty by synthesizing inputs, framing decisions, and helping teams progress with clarity.

• Collaborate with product and engineering leaders, mentor designers, and influence product direction, design standards, and team culture throughout the HighLevel platform.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of applicable product design experience.

• At least 2 years in a leadership, mentorship, or design direction role.

• Experience in SaaS, B2B, platform, workflow-intensive, or other complex digital product settings is highly desirable.

• An exceptionally strong portfolio showcasing systematic thinking, customer empathy, outstanding craftsmanship, measurable product impact, and leadership beyond individual contributions.

• Applications lacking a portfolio will not be considered.

• Proven experience in leading data-informed product design across research, information architecture, interaction design, visual design, prototyping, content strategy, and usability testing.

• Superior visual and interaction design skills.

• Experience in designing for AI-driven or intelligent interfaces.

• Deep understanding of design systems, accessibility standards, reusable patterns, and scalable product experience decisions.

• Experience in influencing design direction for impactful product areas, systems, platforms, or pillars.

• Strong skills in cross-functional leadership.

• Excellent communication and facilitation abilities.

• Mandatory experience using AI-powered tools for exploration, prototyping, critique, synthesis, or workflow enhancement.

• Ability to collaborate effectively across different time zones and cultural contexts.
