Lead Product Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Oversee product design initiatives or manage small teams based on project requirements

• Act as a senior individual contributor when necessary

• Enhance current products to achieve quantifiable improvements in usability, conversion rates, or workflow efficiency

• Assess live product interfaces in partnership with engineering teams

• Make and justify visual and UI choices related to forms, workflows, CTAs, hierarchy, and layout

• Communicate design rationale and the challenges addressed to audiences ranging from engineers to executives

• Organize and lead cross-functional workshops

• Conduct business reviews and strategic planning meetings with senior stakeholders

• Guide and develop fellow designers through mentorship and constructive feedback

⛳️ Requirements

• 6–10+ years of experience in UX/Product Design, preferably including time spent in a consultancy, agency, or integrated team environment where you have handled client or stakeholder relationships directly

• Proven ability to alternate between leading projects or small teams and acting as a senior individual contributor

• A history of enhancing existing products with measurable successes in usability, conversion, or workflow efficiency

• Strong visual and UI discernment for forms, workflows, CTAs, hierarchy, and layout

• Comfortable collaborating closely with engineering on live implementations

• Capable of articulating design choices and the problems they resolve to both engineers and executives

• Experienced in facilitating cross-functional workshops and guiding business reviews or strategic planning sessions with senior stakeholders

• Nice to have: experience in designing for regulated or enterprise sectors such as finance, compliance, GRC, or banking

• Nice to have: background in designing software that is integrated within third-party platforms

• Nice to have: familiarity with established component libraries and design systems like MUI

• Nice to have: experience in mentoring or advancing the skills of other designers

• Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS; JavaScript is a plus

• A degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field — or equivalent experience (preferred)
