This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the development, configuration, and maintenance of a Software Factory capability for the US Space Force.
• Establish guidelines and standards for deploying to Azure Cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes environments.
• Lead the establishment and operation of Kubernetes clusters in both lab and classified production settings.
• Implement and configure Jira, Confluence, GitLab, and various DevSecOps tools on virtual machines and Kubernetes clusters.
• Guide resources and support the creation of VM Infrastructure as Code pipelines utilizing Packer, Ansible, and shell scripts.
• Provide DevSecOps support for application teams and clients through automation, architecture, and documentation.
• Act as a DevSecOps architect, engineer, and mentor.
• Enhance platform and development team maturity to maximize customer value delivery.
• Monitor, patch, upgrade, and address vulnerabilities within Kubernetes cluster nodes and platform applications.
• Design, maintain, and improve IaC build, test, and deployment CI/CD pipelines.
• Deploy and manage both FOSS and vendor Kubernetes distributions on Linux-based Azure virtual machines.
• Utilize Helm to deploy, manage, and integrate Harbor, SonarQube, Keycloak, Nexus, ArgoCD, and other software within Kubernetes clusters.
• Assist user teams in onboarding to the Software Factory platform and facilitate application and infrastructure integration using automated pipelines.
• Specify system and application security requirements.
• Educate teams on DevSecOps methodologies and tools.
• Propose innovations grounded in DevSecOps expertise.
• Must be a US Citizen.
• Hold a DoD Secret Security Clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret clearance.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• Over 10 years of experience in DevOps/Cloud environments.
• Proficient in managing and utilizing Linux and Linux-based operating systems.
• Experienced in software architecture, engineering, CI/CD, and/or DevOps practices.
• Familiar with at least one programming or scripting language.
• Proficient in using Git version control.
• Knowledgeable in containerization build technologies and Kubernetes deployments.
• Experienced with Kubernetes Persistent Volumes / Volume Claims and Container Storage Interface plugins in cloud settings.
• Proven ability to provide technical leadership for DevOps or cloud teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with teams and clients, as well as coaching in DevSecOps processes.
• Skilled in Agile lifecycle management processes and tools.
• Holds DoDM 8140 Certification / Security+.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Helm, and GitOps techniques is preferred.
• Familiarity with GitLab and GitLab CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
• Background with US Air Force Platform One’s Big Bang is advantageous.
• Experience with security scanning tools such as Anchore, OpenSCAP, and Prisma (Twistlock) is desirable.
• Knowledgeable in secure development and software supply chain security practices.
