Lead Mobile Application Engineer – .NET MAUI, Xamarin

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Define and take ownership of the architecture for cross-platform mobile applications utilizing .NET MAUI.

• Lead the development of essential features for mobile applications through C#, .NET, and XAML.

• Manage complex, performance-sensitive, and platform-specific components.

• Propel the migration and modernization of legacy Xamarin.Forms applications to .NET MAUI.

• Create standards, reusable components, and strategies for modernization.

• Collaborate with UX/UI teams to deliver responsive, accessible, and high-performance interfaces for Android and iOS.

• Supervise the integration of RESTful APIs, third-party SDKs, secure local data storage, and offline synchronization methods.

• Set and enforce coding standards; conduct architecture and code reviews.

• Ensure the security, performance optimization, and stability of applications.

• Manage the complete mobile application lifecycle, including CI/CD pipelines, build automation, versioning, signing, and deployment to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

• Mentor and support both senior and junior engineers.

• Collaborate with product owners, backend teams, QA, and other stakeholders to convert business requirements into technical solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

• Over 7 years of professional software development experience.

• Practical experience with .NET MAUI or extensive experience with Xamarin.Forms, including successful migration expertise.

• Strong command of C#, .NET, and XAML.

• In-depth knowledge of MVVM, clean architecture principles, and contemporary mobile design patterns.

• Proven track record of delivering production-quality Android and iOS applications.

• Comprehensive understanding of mobile application lifecycles, threading, and platform-specific behaviors.

• Experience with integrating RESTful APIs, third-party services, and secure local data storage solutions.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and current DevOps practices for mobile application delivery.

• Demonstrated leadership abilities, capable of mentoring engineers and influencing architectural decisions.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
