
Lead Medical Records Technician β Outpatient

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
β’ Oversee outpatient/professional coding operations, ensuring both precision and promptness.
β’ Act as the primary resource for outpatient/professional coders on CPT/HCPCS, modifiers, E/M, and ICD-10-CM.
β’ Evaluate coding submissions, rectify inaccuracies, and enhance consistency and compliance.
β’ Create and sustain reports; analyze trends and suggest corrective measures.
β’ Facilitate training/orientation and ongoing educational programs.
β’ Aid in resolving audit discrepancies and coding-related denials.
β’ Collaborate with billing and claims teams.
β’ Support the supervisor in managing workload and providing performance feedback.
β’ Must meet or exceed the Outpatient Coder qualifications.
β’ Current certification (RHIT/RHIA/CCS/CCS-P/CPC) is required.
β’ Minimum of 3 years of continuous experience.
β’ Strong expertise in ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, E/M, and professional-fee coding.
β’ Demonstrated leadership, quality assurance, and training skills.
β’ Capability to work remotely with VPN access.
β’ Availability Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm CT.
β’ $5.09/hr for Health and Wellness.
β’ Remote work available through VPN access.
β’ Work schedule is Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm CT.
