Lead Mechanical Commissioning Specialist – Construction Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Supervise commissioning activities for greenfield, brownfield, and operational mechanical equipment, including turbines, boilers, pumps, and other related power plant machinery.

• Lead commissioning processes, encompassing system testing, troubleshooting, and integration, to facilitate plant startup and handover.

• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and safety teams to effectively plan and execute commissioning tasks.

• Create, implement, and uphold commissioning protocols and procedures.

• Monitor and evaluate equipment performance, overseeing necessary adjustments, optimizations, and upgrades.

• Maintain thorough documentation of commissioning activities, system integrations, equipment performance, and compliance metrics.

• Provide technical guidance and support to commissioning teams, plant operators, and relevant stakeholders.

• Ensure that installed progress and deliverables are consistent with drawings, specifications, and contractual obligations.

• Identify any discrepancies or modifications in work placement.

• Track work progress and report significant developments in daily reports.

• Assist partners and project stakeholders by proactively addressing issues and devising innovative solutions to project challenges.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 12 years of mechanical commissioning experience in the power generation industry, with a proven track record in leadership and management.

• Extensive technical knowledge and expertise in power plant equipment, systems, and commissioning processes, including turbines, boilers, pumps, and auxiliary systems.

• Demonstrated proficiency in commissioning methodologies, troubleshooting, and system integration.

• Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills.

• Familiarity with industry regulations, codes & standards, and best practices pertaining to power plant electrical operations, maintenance, and safety.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Capability to lead, motivate, and work collaboratively across teams and stakeholders.

• Willingness and flexibility to travel and undertake assignments in various locations throughout the United States.

• Must not require employer sponsorship for work authorization in the U.S.

• Experience with AI, automation, programming, or similar technologies is valued but not mandatory.
