Lead MBSE Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead the development, upkeep, and integration of extensive systems engineering models utilizing DoDAF.

• Design and implement network services for the TACMOR program, encompassing subsea, terrestrial, and SATCOM backup services.

• Oversee both on-island and off-island communications along with an integration facility to ensure consistent interfaces and end-to-end service delivery.

• Create, sustain, and enhance large-scale SysML models with Cameo Systems Modeler and DoDAF.

• Develop system architecture and engineering documents, including BDD, IBD, Requirements, Use Case, Activity, and Sequence diagrams.

• Produce ICD, IDD, SDD, RVTM, and other engineering documents via Cameo Report Wizard.

• Manage collaborative model development through Cameo Teamwork Cloud.

• Establish and uphold traceability between system requirements and model artifacts.

• Evaluate models for quality, consistency, completeness, and compliance with modeling standards.

• Support MBSE modeling standards, processes, and best practices.

• Collaborate with systems engineers, software engineers, and various technical disciplines.

• Offer technical guidance and mentoring to engineers implementing MBSE practices and tools.

• Assist in customer technical meetings, engineering reviews, demonstrations, and capability briefings.

• Enhance engineering processes via MBSE, modeling, simulation, and digital engineering.

• Aid in requirements analysis, system integration, technical assessments, and special projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• BS in engineering and 12+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree in engineering with 10+ years of relevant experience; additional experience may be taken into account in place of a degree.

• U.S. citizenship is required.

• Capability to secure a Secret clearance.

• Experience in fundamental systems engineering and leading system design for a DoW customer.

• Practical experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) using SysML.

• Familiarity with Cameo Systems Modeler.

• Experience in developing and maintaining system models using various SysML diagram types.

• Proficient in requirements traceability and management within a systems engineering context.

• Experience working collaboratively with multidisciplinary engineering teams.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Experience with Cameo Systems Modeler 2024x or newer.

• Familiarity with Cameo Teamwork Cloud.

• Experience with Cameo Collaborator.

• Background in developing or implementing MBSE modeling standards and processes.

• Experience in providing mentorship or technical advice to engineers adopting MBSE practices.

• Preferred: Active Secret clearance.

• Preferred: Knowledge of Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira and Confluence/SharePoint.

• Preferred: Experience with Python, scripting, or other automation tools.

• Preferred: Background in systems integration, modeling and simulation, or digital engineering environments.

• Preferred: Prior experience with DAF systems.
