This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead and support both small and large nuclear controls projects, emphasizing technical execution and efficient project management.

• Upgrade and modernize nuclear power plants by utilizing the latest control technologies.

• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and structural disciplines to successfully complete projects.

• Investigate, troubleshoot, and address issues related to controls engineering.

• Design digital systems that include PLC, DCS, HSI, and networked computer systems.

• Create functional and implementation requirements for control systems along with procurement specifications.

• Engage with clients to ensure effective project execution and satisfaction.

• Prepare and review technical reports, calculations, and studies.

• Manage resource allocation and develop estimates for task completion and budgeting.

• Assist in the development of proposals.

• Prepare and review diagrams and drawings for new and enhanced control solutions.

• Assess vendor bids from a technical standpoint.

• Collaborate with vendors, review documentation, ensure compliance of equipment, and witness FAT performance.

• Support the implementation of projects at client facilities.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or Nuclear Engineering from an ABET accredited program.

• At least 12 years of experience in the design engineering of instrumentation and controls systems within a project team environment for commercial and industrial applications.

• Focused experience on integrated and detailed modifications to system design.

• A Professional Engineering license is preferred.

• Strong ability to communicate clearly in both spoken and written forms.

• Technical expertise regarding available equipment and established pre-engineered systems for executing system design.

• Experience acting as the firm’s client liaison in either a support or lead engineering capacity.

• Familiarity with reviewing design documentation.

• Must not require employer sponsorship for work authorization in the U.S.
