Lead, Human Data Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead a group of AI Tutors in providing training data and evaluations for SpaceXAI’s models.

• Take ownership of the complete quality and delivery process for designated Human Data projects.

• Personally assess domain work for precision, consistency, adherence to guidelines, and the production of high-quality data.

• Guide, mentor, and manage the performance of AI Tutors through reviews, documentation, action plans, shadowing sessions, and ongoing improvement.

• Supervise and engage in labeling and review activities.

• Manage taxonomies and the processes for quality assurance.

• Recognize operational bottlenecks, implement process enhancements, and monitor KPIs including quality metrics, throughput, and send-back rates.

• Collaborate with Human Data Managers, Team Leads, and Engineering to convert model requirements into labeling strategies and specifications.

• Mentor and nurture talent, assist with disciplinary actions, and uphold accountability.

• Document outcomes, recommend process modifications, and report on project status, risks, and results.

• Represent tutors and promote collaboration across the Human Data organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 months of practical experience in data labeling, annotation, AI training/evaluation, content quality, or related operational fields.

• Basic knowledge of AI and machine learning concepts, along with an understanding of how high-quality training data influences model performance.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related disciplines, or 4+ years of relevant experience in place of a degree.

• Candidates should reside in the United States, Dubai, Ireland, United Kingdom, Japan, India, Indonesia, South Korea, Philippines, or Singapore; remote work options are also available.

• Previous experience in people leadership.

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects and effectively prioritize in a dynamic environment.

• Strong history of reviewing domain work, ensuring data quality, and enhancing operational processes.

• Experience in performance management, coaching, training program development, and certification frameworks.

• Proficient in data analysis and related tools; familiarity with SQL is an advantage.

• Experience managing a mix of employment types or distributed teams.

• Comfortable using Notion, Axiom, JIRA, Linear, or similar tools.

• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, proactive problem-solving abilities, and a focus on continuous improvement.
