Lead Finance Specialist – Insurance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with Statutory Accounting Practices (SAP) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

• Conduct comprehensive analyses and create supplemental schedules and disclosures.

• Prepare periodic financial statement schedules, exhibits, and other regulatory submissions for the NAIC.

• Create account reconciliations for both GAAP and statutory accounting standards.

• Generate routine journal entries on a monthly and quarterly basis.

• Ensure compliance with US GAAP and statutory accounting regulations.

• Assist in the development of financial and operational internal controls, streamline processes, and enhance operational excellence.

• Support both internal and external audit processes.

• Utilize knowledge of business drivers to provide precise actual financial reporting and analysis.

• Collaborate with various teams and contribute to broader organizational objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited institution.

• Required experience in the insurance industry.

• Strong problem analysis and resolution skills.

• Proficient in documenting, planning, marketing, and executing programs.

• Demonstrated project management capabilities.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

• Successful completion of a drug screening, if applicable.

• Experience in public accounting is preferred.
