Lead Finance Partner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the financial strategy and forecasting for HubSpot’s extensive triple-digit million-dollar platform cost structure.

• Oversee Platform COGS planning, forecasting, and collaborate with Engineering and TPM as the Finance Directly Responsible Individual (DRI).

• Enhance forecast accuracy and deliver leadership-ready cost insights through regular business review sessions.

• Direct financial modeling and scenario analysis concerning the renewal of the hyperscaler contract.

• Collaborate with Engineering, Infrastructure, Procurement, and Finance leadership to define contract strategies and track commitments.

• Develop driver-based forecasting models for LLM/compute demand and platform expenditures.

• Convert metrics related to compute, storage, networking, and model usage into workload-level forecasts.

• Link platform usage and infrastructure architecture to feature-level cost attribution and gross-margin evaluations.

• Provide insights for pricing, packaging, and architectural decisions.

• Spearhead intricate cross-functional initiatives, transforming ambiguous inquiries into actionable recommendations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in FP&A, strategic finance, infrastructure finance, FinOps, or similar roles that involve complex cost structures and cross-functional decision-making.

• Strong understanding of COGS, gross margin, and unit economics within cloud, SaaS, or usage-driven environments.

• Experience in developing driver-based models, forecasts, and conducting scenario/sensitivity analyses with incomplete or evolving data.

• Demonstrated ability to manage ambiguous, multi-stakeholder projects from start to finish.

• Capability to influence senior stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Infrastructure, Procurement, and/or Strategy & Operations.

• Preferred: background in a high-growth, multi-product SaaS, cloud infrastructure, or AI organization.

• Preferred: familiarity with SQL workflows, AI tools, or other analytical platforms.

• Preferred: knowledge of AWS economics, including Compute Savings Plans, Reserved Instances, commitment attainment, or handling large cloud vendor renewals.

• Preferred: experience in supporting AI or LLM infrastructure planning.

• Preferred: expertise in developing frameworks for product-, feature-, or workload-level cost attribution and unit economics.
