This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee design workstreams from inception to completion, including research and requirements gathering, detailed design documentation, prototyping, and delivery.
• Collaborate directly with clients to gain insights into their users and business needs.
• Conduct design reviews and advocate for design choices with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Work alongside engineering, data, and consulting teams to create seamless experiences.
• Continuously improve solutions based on feedback from stakeholders and users.
• Create journey maps and service blueprints that encompass interactions between human and AI participants.
• Design workflows and establish human-in-the-loop handoff moments.
• Define interaction patterns for non-deterministic systems, addressing latency, ambiguity, uncertainty, and error states.
• Set best practices for visualizing, prototyping, and assessing human/AI interactions.
• Guide projects from discovery through delivery on client engagements, including journey maps, service blueprints, flows, wireframes, and prototypes.
• Organize and conduct generative and evaluative user research, particularly focusing on trust in AI-driven functionalities.
• Facilitate workshops and collaborative co-creation sessions with client stakeholders, engineers, data scientists, and creative technologists.
• Design dashboards, enterprise web applications, and information visualizations.
• Create compelling and clear client presentations.
• Communicate design decisions with effective storytelling and rationale, fostering alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
• Champion accessibility, inclusion, and the ethical application of AI.
• Utilize AI-powered design and research tools to expedite iteration while upholding quality, judgment, and craftsmanship.
• 6–7 years of experience in experience design or a related discipline.
• Strong foundation in human-centered design methodologies and perspectives.
• A portfolio showcasing enterprise, consulting, or innovation-studio projects.
• Proficient in creating journey maps and service blueprints for intricate, multi-actor systems, including those involving AI agents.
• Practical experience in designing AI-driven or agentic product experiences, incorporating human/AI interaction flows, human-in-the-loop patterns, and interfaces for non-deterministic behavior.
• Capability to design and execute generative and evaluative research and convert insights into actionable plans with developers and product managers.
• Proficient in Figma or comparable design tools.
• Ability to produce low- to high-fidelity prototypes, including functional models of AI-assisted interactions.
• Comfortable leading co-creation sessions and presenting ideas to clients.
• Exceptional communication skills in English.
• Strong abilities in information design and visual communication.
• Preferred: experience in enterprise and agency/consulting settings.
• Preferred: knowledge of IT infrastructure or other complex technical domains.
• Preferred: background in human behavior, change management, or applied social sciences.
• Preferred: data science or AI/ML experience, especially in collaboration with AI engineering teams.
• Preferred: familiarity with AI-assisted design and prototyping tools like Figma Make, Miro AI, or Lovable.
• Preferred: specialization in service design, user experience/interaction design, interface design, information architecture, data visualization, or conversational and agentic interfaces.
