This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
β’ Design and architect routing and switching solutions for TD SYNNEX's worldwide network, encompassing campus LAN, WAN, data center interconnect, and SD-WAN edge.
β’ Act as the global escalation point for intricate routing, switching, and SD-WAN challenges.
β’ Take ownership of issues, lead resolutions, and document solutions as part of established standards.
β’ Define and uphold global network design standards, which include topology templates, routing policies, QoS frameworks, VLAN strategies, and SD-WAN deployment models.
β’ Assess and suggest SD-WAN architectural direction, including provider selection, edge deployment models, application-aware routing, and zero-touch provisioning.
β’ Review network designs for new site build-outs, warehouse deployments, and corporate office expansions across all regions.
β’ Collaborate with regional network leads and engineers to ensure implementations align with global standards.
β’ Work together with the India Automation & Observability engineer on network telemetry and alerting for routing and switching infrastructure.
β’ Lead cross-functional discussions regarding network requirements for acquisitions, new market entries, and application migrations.
β’ Present architectural recommendations to engineers and leadership.
β’ Establish global network architecture standards for the network engineering function at TD SYNNEX.
β’ 10β15 years of enterprise network engineering experience with a robust emphasis on design and architecture.
β’ Expert-level understanding of BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and spanning tree protocols.
β’ Practical design and deployment experience with SD-WAN platforms such as Cisco Viptela/SD-WAN, VMware VeloCloud, Fortinet, or similar technologies.
β’ Profound knowledge of enterprise LAN/WAN architecture, campus switching, redundancy design, QoS, and carrier circuit management.
β’ Experience in navigating a multi-site, multi-country network environment while setting standards for regional teams.
β’ Strong proficiency in written and spoken English.
β’ Capability to document architectural decisions and present recommendations to engineers and leadership.
β’ Ability to work independently as a global Subject Matter Expert (SME) across various time zones.
β’ Bachelor's Degree in Network Engineering or a related field of study is required.
β’ CCIE Routing & Switching or Enterprise Infrastructure, or at least CCNP Enterprise is preferred.
β’ Familiarity with data center switching and fabric architectures such as Cisco ACI and VXLAN/EVPN is preferred.
β’ Knowledge of carrier and ISP relationships, circuit ordering, SLA management, and peering is preferred.
β’ Exposure to network design within a global IT distribution, logistics, or e-commerce context is preferred.
β’ Experience in multi-vendor environments and design of vendor-agnostic solutions is preferred.
β’ Strong leadership, organizational, communication, presentation, negotiation, and multicultural interpersonal abilities.
β’ Proficiency in using relevant computer system applications at an advanced level.
β’ On-call availability is required as needed.
β’ Willingness to work non-standard hours or overtime as business needs arise.
