Lead Engineer, Langchain

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and create production-ready AI/LLM applications utilizing LangChain and associated frameworks

• Construct and integrate LLM-driven workflows, agents, and applications

• Develop scalable backend services and APIs using Python

• Connect LLMs with external data sources, APIs, tools, and enterprise systems

• Create solutions that involve prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), tool invocation, and AI agents

• Deploy and oversee AI applications within a major cloud environment

• Collaborate with engineers, product stakeholders, and clients to convert business requirements into technical solutions

• Assess emerging AI/LLM technologies and pinpoint opportunities to enhance existing solutions

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code appropriate for production settings

• Diagnose, optimize, and enhance the performance, reliability, and scalability of AI applications

⛳️ Requirements

• Mid-to-senior level software engineering background

• Strong command of Python

• Practical experience with LangChain or similar LLM/AI application frameworks

• Familiarity with at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Microsoft Azure

• Solid understanding of software engineering principles, APIs, and application development

• Experience in building or integrating LLM-driven applications

• Capability to work independently in a remote setting while effectively collaborating with a distributed team

• A Bachelor's degree is not mandatory if the candidate possesses strong relevant experience

• Master’s or PhD graduates with pertinent hands-on experience in AI, machine learning, computer science, or a related area are encouraged to apply

• Not suited for candidates coming directly from an undergraduate program lacking professional or substantial project experience

• Nice to have: Experience with LangGraph

• Nice to have: Experience in developing AI agents or agentic workflows

• Nice to have: Experience with RAG, vector databases, embeddings, and semantic search

• Nice to have: Familiarity with OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, or other foundational models

• Nice to have: Experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes

• Nice to have: Experience with CI/CD and production cloud deployments

• Nice to have: TypeScript experience

• Nice to have: Experience working in a consulting or client-facing role
