This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Idaho.
• Prepare, revise, and verify intricate engineering drawings and their revisions, which include 2D line work and 3D models.
• Collaborate with project and design engineers to assess design inputs and define dimensions, components, tolerances, as well as design and process parameters.
• Conduct geometric calculations and tolerance stack-up analyses.
• Assist in the specification and documentation of parts, assemblies, and installations.
• Review and redline drawings created by other drafters for accuracy, thoroughness, consistency, and compliance with standards.
• Implement GD&T and offer guidance to ensure its correct application in drafting deliverables.
• Suggest design alterations to enhance product quality or ease construction and fabrication.
• Provide field documentation and support for as-built drawings.
• Maintain expertise in Creo, AutoCAD, and other organizational modeling tools.
• Adhere to company CAD standards and relevant PDM/PLM processes.
• Oversee multiple drawing packages, assist in backlog reduction, and communicate progress to project and line management.
• Mentor junior drafters in drafting practices, modeling, and ensuring drawing quality.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the BEA Technical Point of Contact.
• Work remotely with occasional travel to the Materials and Fuels Complex as required.
• Associate’s degree or vocational certificate in drafting/design, CAD, or engineering technology.
• At least 7 years of pertinent drafting experience, which includes reviewing or redlining other drafters’ work or acting as a lead drafter.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience using Creo software.
• Proficient in Creo and AutoCAD, including the preparation and revision of 2D drawings and 3D models.
• Familiarity with drafting techniques and the capability to interpret and apply ANSI/ASME Y14 drafting standards.
• Comprehensive understanding and application of GD&T in line with ASME Y14.5-2009 or a more recent version, along with the ability to instruct or rectify its use in others’ work.
• Capability to perform geometric and tolerance stack-up calculations.
• Knowledge of architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical/instrumentation drawings.
• Acquaintance with American Welding Society (AWS) symbols and protocols.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple simultaneous drawing packages under tight deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with engineers, field personnel, and management.
• Must be able to work the designated Mountain Time schedule and be on-site at MFC as required.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
