This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.
• Take ownership of the Scalr platform's reliability, scalability, and observability.
• Proactively recognize and mitigate risks before they escalate into incidents affecting customers.
• Design new architectural components.
• Advocate for and implement SRE and DevOps best practices.
• Propel strategic technical advancements.
• Provide customer support and resolve customer issues.
• Develop and maintain the SRE roadmap and backlog.
• Oversee the comprehensive observability strategy, which includes monitoring, alerting, and dashboards.
• Architect and enhance scalable, efficient, and resilient platform infrastructure.
• Remove single points of failure and manage disaster recovery and failover strategies.
• Define and manage customer-focused SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets.
• Oversee the infrastructure technology stack and assess and integrate CI/CD and monitoring tools.
• Collaborate with other Tech Leads and facilitate interaction with various departments.
• Lead the resolution of technical challenges and engage in hands-on system maintenance.
• Encourage ownership, autonomy, and continuous development within the team.
• Educate and mentor team members through mentoring, Q&A sessions, and knowledge reviews.
• Proficiency in Python scripting.
• Experience with Terraform/OpenTofu.
• Extensive knowledge of Linux, including RHEL/Debian, and bash scripting.
• Familiarity with Docker.
• Experience with Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience in leading SRE teams or initiatives.
• Proficiency with monitoring and logging tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, or New Relic.
• Familiarity with CI platforms like GitHub Actions, Drone, or CircleCI.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with GitOps, Argo CD, Flux CD, or similar tools is a plus.
• Experience with Chef, Omnibus, and Ruby is a plus.
• JavaScript knowledge for GitHub Actions would be an advantage.
