Lead DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Design, deploy, and oversee highly available and fault-tolerant infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform and Google Kubernetes Engine.

• Sustain and scale a declarative infrastructure utilizing Terraform across a large multi-file environment.

• Implement GitOps workflows using Atlantis.

• Construct, maintain, and enhance continuous integration and delivery pipelines with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and ArgoCD.

• Oversee enterprise networking perimeters, Istio service mesh frameworks, and Kong API Gateways.

• Execute telemetry, log aggregation, and alerting for availability, resource usage, and incident management.

• Apply security measures, including VPC-SC, IAM, and organizational policies.

• Manage identity and secrets storage while upholding compliance standards such as SOC2.

• Engage in the operational on-call rotation.

• Promote DevOps methodologies through infrastructure codification and automated release management.

⛳️ Requirements

• Senior or lead-level expertise in managing production workloads on GCP and GKE.

• Profound understanding of GCP, GKE cluster architecture, Helm, Kustomize, and ArgoCD.

• Advanced Terraform expertise.

• Significant experience executing GitOps workflows at scale using Atlantis.

• Strong background in designing, developing, and sustaining multi-stage automated deployment pipelines.

• High level of proficiency with Istio, encompassing VirtualServices, mTLS, and sidecar injection.

• Extensive knowledge of Kong API Gateway.

• Practical experience with Auth0, Dex, ESO, SOPS, VPC-SC, and IAM.

• Operational experience with Cloud SQL (PostgreSQL), BigQuery, Elasticsearch, or ClickHouse.

• At least upper-intermediate spoken and written English proficiency.

• Experience with Ansible, GCP Professional Cloud Architect, GCP Professional Security Engineer, CKA, or CKS certifications is a plus.
