Senior Cloud and DevOps Engineer – AWS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Design and manage cloud infrastructure utilizing AWS, and occasionally Azure, in enterprise and regulated settings.

• Apply Infrastructure as Code principles using Terraform.

• Create and sustain CI/CD pipelines.

• Engage with container technologies and platforms like Docker and Kubernetes.

• Contribute to the development of cloud architecture focusing on cost efficiency, security, and scalability.

• Promote automation, monitoring, and observability practices.

• Resolve time-sensitive incidents efficiently.

• Collaborate closely with development teams, Security, and Product Owners within a DevOps culture.

• Utilize AI tools such as Claude Code, Copilot, and Cursor for productive development.

• Address cloud and platform-related topics for large enterprises, public sector entities, and both enterprise and mid-sized clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• Senior-level expertise; capable of delivering results from day one and working autonomously.

• Comprehensive understanding of AWS architecture and operations.

• AWS certification is preferred: Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer.

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools: Terraform or CloudFormation.

• Proficiency in Docker and Kubernetes.

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.

• Knowledge of Git and agile methodologies.

• Competence in Linux, along with networking and security principles.

• Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Go.

• Proficiency in German at C1 level or above.

• Productive use of AI tools: Claude Code, Copilot, and Cursor.

• Desirable skills include IAM (One Identity, Keycloak), cloud security, monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus), Apache Kafka, Azure, or GCP.

• Willingness to quickly learn new environments.
