Lead DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Lithuania.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and oversee highly available, fault-tolerant infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform and Google Kubernetes Engine.

• Sustain and expand declarative infrastructure using Terraform across a vast multi-file environment.

• Enforce GitOps practices utilizing Atlantis.

• Construct, support, and enhance automated continuous integration and delivery pipelines with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and ArgoCD.

• Oversee enterprise networking boundaries, Istio service mesh frameworks, and Kong API Gateways.

• Deploy telemetry, log aggregation, and alerting systems for high availability, resource efficiency, and incident management.

• Uphold security measures using VPC-SC, IAM, and organizational policies.

• Manage identity and secret storage while ensuring compliance with standards such as SOC2.

• Engage in the operational on-call rotation.

• Promote DevOps methodologies through infrastructure codification and automation of release management.

⛳️ Requirements

• Senior/Lead-level experience in managing production workloads on GCP and GKE.

• Expertise in Kubernetes, including cluster architecture, Helm, Kustomize, and ArgoCD.

• Advanced skills in Terraform.

• Significant experience executing GitOps workflows at scale using Atlantis.

• Proven history of designing, building, and sustaining multi-stage automated deployment pipelines.

• Strong proficiency with Istio, encompassing VirtualServices, mTLS, and sidecar injection.

• High level of expertise with Kong API Gateways.

• Practical experience with Auth0, Dex, ESO, SOPS, VPC-SC, and IAM.

• Operational experience with Cloud SQL (PostgreSQL), BigQuery, Elasticsearch, or ClickHouse.

• At least upper-intermediate proficiency in spoken and written English.

• Experience with Ansible is a plus.

• GCP Professional Cloud Architect, GCP Professional Security Engineer, or CKA/CKS certifications are advantageous.
