Lead DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Bulgaria.

📋 Description

• Design, deploy, and oversee highly available, fault-tolerant infrastructure within GCP and GKE.

• Sustain and scale Terraform infrastructure across a large multi-file framework.

• Implement GitOps workflows utilizing Atlantis.

• Construct, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines with tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and ArgoCD.

• Oversee enterprise networking perimeters, Istio service mesh architectures, and Kong API Gateways.

• Implement telemetry, log aggregation, and alerting mechanisms for availability, resource utilization, and incident management.

• Uphold security postures utilizing VPC-SC, IAM, and organizational policies.

• Manage identity and secrets storage while ensuring adherence to SOC2 compliance standards.

• Engage in the operational on-call rotation.

• Promote DevOps methodologies through infrastructure codification and automated release management.

⛳️ Requirements

• Senior/Lead-level experience managing production workloads on GCP and GKE.

• In-depth knowledge of GKE cluster topology, Helm, Kustomize, and ArgoCD.

• Advanced proficiency in Terraform.

• Significant experience executing GitOps workflows at scale using Atlantis.

• Strong background in designing, constructing, and maintaining multi-stage automated deployment pipelines.

• High expertise with Istio, including VirtualServices, mTLS, and sidecar injection.

• Familiarity with Kong API Gateway.

• Practical experience with Auth0, Dex, ESO, SOPS, VPC-SC, and IAM.

• Operational experience with Cloud SQL (PostgreSQL), BigQuery, Elasticsearch, or ClickHouse.

• At least upper-intermediate proficiency in spoken and written English.
