Lead Developer, C#/.NET

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Act as the technical liaison within the development team and actively engage in programming efforts.

• Make technical decisions regarding daily operations without any disciplinary management responsibilities.

• Participate in hands-on development and architecture using C#/.NET as a team member.

• Implement your own features and address bug fixes within the sprint cycle.

• Undertake complex technical tasks and resolve architectural challenges effectively.

• Contribute to decisions about modularization, interfaces, and security considerations.

• Further enhance core systems with C#/.NET and MS SQL, transforming them into resilient, containerized Kubernetes services.

• Ensure observability, performance, scalability, security, and deployment are accounted for.

• Provide technical support during refinement sessions and clarify complex technical concepts for Product Managers.

• Expand and optimize CI/CD pipelines utilizing GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, and Azure DevOps.

• Establish Clean Code practices, conduct code reviews, and implement automated unit and system tests.

• Contribute to shorter development cycles and more reliable deployment processes.

• Create, document, and share knowledge within the team.

• Participate in process and system documentation efforts.

• Develop best-practice guidelines and technical standards.

• Offer technical guidance and coaching to developers on architecture, Clean Code, and systems thinking.

• Assist in onboarding new team members.

• Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional exchange.

• Collaborate closely with the Engineering Manager on professional and technical issues.

⛳️ Requirements

• Several years of experience in developing web applications using C#/.NET.

• Proficiency in scalable database systems, including MS SQL and PostgreSQL.

• Familiarity with modern backend architectures and modular service design.

• Experience with Angular (v15+) and RabbitMQ is a plus.

• Commitment to high-quality standards, pragmatism, and a holistic understanding of products.

• Experience in integrating new technologies and digital solutions into existing frameworks.

• Strong understanding of the capabilities and limitations of AI in a corporate environment.

• Practical experience with AI-/LLM-assisted development; integrating AI-based features is advantageous.

• Proven hands-on experience with Docker/Kubernetes.

• Knowledge of fully automated deployments and Infrastructure as Code principles.

• In-depth understanding of designing, scaling, and orchestrating services.

• Experience working with GitHub, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines, including GitHub Actions and ArgoCD.

• Familiarity with automated testing practices, including unit and system tests.

• Ability to provide professional mentoring and articulate complex technical concepts clearly.

• Interest in collaborative discovery processes with Product Managers and stakeholders.

• Excellent proficiency in written and spoken English and German (minimum C1 level).
