This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +1 more state.
• Develop, uphold, and implement comprehensive data governance policies, standards, and procedures across the enterprise.
• Define and document the structures of data ownership, stewardship, and accountability within various business domains.
• Establish and oversee data governance frameworks, councils, and collaborative working groups.
• Ensure the accuracy, consistency, completeness, security, and regulatory compliance of data.
• Monitor and enhance data quality through profiling, validation, and resolution of issues.
• Collaborate with data owners and stewards to identify, analyze, and rectify data defects along with their root causes.
• Support initiatives related to master data management, metadata management, and reference data controls.
• Implement and oversee controls for the handling, retention, classification, change management, and access management of sensitive data.
• Assist with internal and external audits, risk assessments, and remediation planning.
• Work in partnership with legal, compliance, cybersecurity, IT, business stakeholders, and data owners.
• Deliver training and support services to data owners, stewards, and end users.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation of governance frameworks, policies, procedures, and data lineage.
• Conduct research on complex issues, engage in self-learning, solve problems, and implement effective solutions.
• Convert data-related requirements into actionable governance solutions.
• Keep abreast of industry trends, emerging regulations, and best practices in data governance.
• Travel 10–20% to support onsite implementations or enterprise solution integrations as required.
• Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree with a minimum of 7 years of related experience, or a minimum of 13 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, SOX, and ITAR.
• Knowledge of industry standards including DAMA-DMBOK and DCAM.
• Proven experience in implementing data literacy programs.
• Proficiency with various ERP systems and enterprise software, including SAP, PeopleSoft, Oracle, and CostPoint.
• Strong grasp of data architecture, data modeling, systems integration, and best practices in data management.
• Experience utilizing data quality tools, conducting data profiling, and performing data lineage analysis.
• Understanding of cloud data platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP, as well as modern data architectures.
• Professional certifications in data governance or related compliance fields are preferred.
• A Master’s degree in Information Management, Data Science, Computer Science, Business Administration (MBA), or a related field is preferred.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in an agile environment.
