Lead Data Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead and conduct intricate, high-stakes analyses, encompassing in-depth investigations, statistical modeling, and challenges related to multi-source data.

• Provide guidance and remove obstacles for the team regarding query optimization, data modeling, challenging datasets, and complex edge cases.

• Develop advanced, efficient SQL for managing large and complex datasets.

• Construct and sustain resilient data models and pipelines in collaboration with Data Engineering.

• Utilize statistical techniques such as experimentation/A-B testing, regression analysis, cohort analysis, and trend analysis.

• Create and establish dashboards and reporting frameworks.

• Set and uphold technical standards for code review, data quality, analytical integrity, and documentation.

• Mentor analysts through collaborative engagement on challenging problems.

• Convert ambiguous business inquiries into structured analytical strategies.

• Present intricate findings to senior stakeholders.

• Manage the technical roadmap for analytics tools, data models, and processes.

• Advocate for and implement information security practices.

• Identify, evaluate, and report on security risks.

• Assess data storage, processing, and transmission to ensure compliance with privacy and protection regulations.

• Integrate data protection measures throughout the information lifecycle.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 9 years of direct experience in data analysis involving complex, high-volume datasets.

• More than 2 years of experience leading or mentoring analysts on technically challenging projects.

• Proficient in SQL at an expert level, including window functions, query optimization, and handling large/messy schemas.

• Familiarity with cloud data warehouse/lakehouse platforms like Snowflake and Databricks.

• Strong foundation in statistics, including experimental design, hypothesis testing, and regression analysis.

• Experience with a BI/visualization tool such as Tableau, Looker, or Power BI.

• Capability to independently address ambiguous, multi-layered data challenges from start to finish.

• Proficient in conveying complex technical insights clearly to senior, non-technical stakeholders.
