This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Collaborate with clients to develop comprehensive cost plans, considering site layout, conditions, and constraints.
• Review and present detailed cost estimates along with cost plans.
• Prepare precise estimates and cost plans for projects.
• Report on estimated costs in comparison to the budget to senior leadership.
• Conduct bid evaluations and engage in cost negotiations.
• Oversee the post-contract process effectively.
• Generate reports, analyses, contracts, budgets, risk assessments, and various other documents.
• Provide guidance to managers and clients on potential improvements and new strategies.
• Document design changes and adjust budgets accordingly.
• Prepare and deliver high-level cost recommendations.
• Supervise the pre-contract process and monitor the allocation of internal resources.
• Attend client meetings as Soben leads and ensure that action items from meetings are addressed.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in the Cost Management industry following graduation.
• At least 5 years of experience utilizing construction technologies and trends, including sustainability, to provide guidance on options and cost implications.
• 5 years of experience in preparing and reviewing cost reports and assessing financial impacts using CMiC, MS-Excel, or Procure.
• 5 years of experience in developing cost budgets and plans utilizing MS-Excel or CostX.
• 5 years of experience involving construction contracts.
• 5 years of experience in implementing Earned Value Management on projects.
• 5 years of experience in reviewing and negotiating change orders and proposals.
• Willingness and capacity to travel domestically approximately 80% of the time to meet client requirements.
