This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in and, when suitable, spearhead the formulation and implementation of category strategies.
• Oversee a portfolio of strategic sourcing projects characterized by medium to high expenditure thresholds and complexity.
• Emphasize quality, cost-effectiveness, delivery, risk management, sustainability, and supplier inclusion.
• Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment of strategies with business goals and market dynamics.
• Assess and rationalize needs, including demand and specifications.
• Conduct research and analyze market and business insights to deliver actionable recommendations that foster value creation.
• Facilitate the development and execution of enterprise category and/or supplier strategies in line with product and technology objectives.
• Gather and analyze internal and external category data for informed decision-making.
• Convert market research and competitive insights into effective procurement solutions.
• Formulate and implement sourcing and/or category strategies to maximize value.
• Create scopes of work and contractual metrics, including key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs).
• Ensure compliance and effectiveness in contracting processes.
• Develop negotiation strategies and influence decisions across all levels.
• Negotiate advantageous contract terms with Allstate Legal when applicable.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Risk & Return Management and Supplier Management on risk assessment, supplier performance, monitoring, and resolving issues.
• Assist in the onboarding and offboarding of suppliers.
• Establish and maintain strategic relationships with both internal stakeholders and suppliers.
• May oversee the work of others; primarily an individual contributor role with no supervisory responsibilities.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in sourcing/contracting services within a highly regulated environment (Preferred).
• Experience in supporting travel, meetings, and events is preferred but not mandatory.
• Proficiency in procurement technology platforms, including e-sourcing, spend analysis, and contract management.
• Solid understanding of contracting and the legal commercial landscape.
• Expertise in negotiating favorable contract terms.
• Background investigation required.
• Generally, does not sponsor individuals for employment-based visas for this position.

• Reliable internet connection with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload.
• Valid photo identification must be available at the beginning of a virtual interview.
