Lead Auditor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Lead accredited assessments for certification, assurance, validation, and verification across various industries.

• Assist organizations in identifying areas for enhancing environmental, health, safety, quality, and operational performance.

• Provide impartial evaluations that support compliance, risk management, and ongoing improvement.

• Contribute to the growth and development of ERM CVS through technical leadership, knowledge sharing, and relationship building with clients.

• Support ESG and sustainability initiatives by delivering assurance services.

• Plan, execute, and oversee audits, encompassing preparation, site activities, stakeholder interviews, evidence evaluation, reporting, and assessment conclusions.

• Produce clear, precise, and timely assessment reports along with actionable recommendations.

• Maintain technical skills in relevant standards, regulations, and best practices within the industry.

• Aid in the continuous enhancement of ERM CVS methodologies, competencies, and operational processes.

• Share knowledge, insights, and technical expertise within the global ERM CVS team.

• Develop trustworthy client relationships and professionally represent ERM CVS.

• Identify opportunities to meet client needs and assist in business development efforts.

• Mentor and support colleagues in audit execution, technical interpretation, and best practices for assessments.

• Contribute to ERM CVS's reputation for technical excellence, integrity, and superior client service.

⛳️ Requirements

• A graduate degree in a relevant field or an equivalent professional qualification in Health, Safety, Environment, Quality, or a related area.

• A minimum of 3–5 years of professional experience in the implementation, operation, assessment, or auditing of management systems.

• Experience in evaluating organizational performance against EHS, quality, operational, or management system objectives.

• Sector expertise in Oil & Gas, Mining & Minerals, Data Centers, Manufacturing, or fabrication environments.

• Training and practical knowledge of at least two standards: ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 22301, ISO 27001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001.

• Familiarity with ISO 17021 and/or ISO 17029 requirements.

• A strong understanding of U.S. or Americas-based EHS regulations, including OSHA, EPA, and other industry-specific or local regulatory requirements.

• Capability to plan and execute audits efficiently while adhering to deadlines and quality standards.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, particularly in report writing and presentation delivery.

• Ability to identify risks and opportunities for improvement, and communicate findings clearly and objectively.

• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

• Willingness and ability to travel extensively (50% to 75%).

• Not eligible for immigration sponsorship.

• Preferred: Lead Auditor qualifications or relevant professional certifications in management systems auditing.

• Preferred: Experience in conducting accredited certification, verification, or assurance assessments.

• Preferred: Experience in various industries and global operating environments.

• Preferred: Knowledge of ESG assurance, sustainability reporting, or related verification frameworks.

• Preferred: Experience in mentoring, coaching, or developing auditors and technical assessors.

• Additional language skills are preferred: Spanish, French, German, Italian, or Japanese.
