This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Perform audits on Staff Counsel files to assess and ensure quality case management, compliance with policies, and adherence to established procedures.
β’ Provide feedback to management post-audit on cases that need immediate attention and identify any violations of policies or procedures.
β’ Offer independent recommendations to senior management.
β’ Communicate findings and recommendations from audits, highlighting policy gaps, loopholes, and reporting inconsistencies.
β’ Prepare and deliver audit trend reports to senior management and Staff Counsel Managers.
β’ Suggest enhancements to the audit process, policies, and procedures.
β’ Assist in the creation of best practices.
β’ Comply with the GEICO Code of Conduct, company policies, and operational principles.
β’ Maintain attendance standards at the workplace to execute necessary functions and engage with management and colleagues.
β’ Travel to Staff Counsel offices nationwide.
β’ Must be licensed in good standing to practice law in relevant jurisdictions.
β’ Required to meet and uphold licensing criteria, including mandatory Continuing Legal Education (CLE) requirements where applicable.
β’ A minimum of seven years of litigation experience, particularly in insurance defense or personal injury.
β’ Proven track record of successfully managing cases of significant severity and complexity.
β’ Willingness to travel to Staff Counsel offices across the country at least 25% of the time.
β’ Capable of performing essential physical and cognitive tasks with or without accommodations.
β’ Proficient in using a keyboard and mouse.
β’ Ability to operate and utilize multiple pieces of office equipment simultaneously.
β’ Excellent professional communication skills, both in-person and via telephone or written correspondence/email.
β’ Competent in documenting files in a clear, concise, and professional manner.
β’ Ability to follow complex instructions, manage conflicts, or facilitate conflict resolution.
β’ Strong organizational, prioritization, and multitasking abilities.
β’ Capacity to learn and apply extensive technical and procedural information.
β’ Must be eligible to work in the United States.
