Lead AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Arab Emirates (UAE).

📋 Description

• Act as the principal technical leader for significant projects, guiding C-level executives and stakeholders on AI strategy, architecture, and governance.

• Take ownership of the technical success of the Professional Services portfolio and establish technical standards.

• Supervise the deployment of advanced AI applications, including Agentic AI and intricate GenAI/RAG systems.

• Create architectural blueprints and MLOps best practices for resilient, scalable, and secure AI solutions.

• Represent DataRobot at industry events and contribute to the publication of technical content.

• Promote internal innovation and establish yourself as a recognized expert in AI/ML.

• Manage technical risks and enhance customer satisfaction while meeting regional revenue targets.

• Travel up to 50% within the region to assist customers across the GCC.

⛳️ Requirements

• Around 8–10 years of progressive, hands-on experience in software development, Agentic AI frameworks, or a similar technical position.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science; advanced degrees (MS or Ph.D.) in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Engineering, or a related quantitative field are preferred.

• Expert-level hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Experience in on-premise deployment with a focus on enterprise architecture and security.

• Proficiency in full-stack development and enterprise software architecture.

• Proven experience in defining and implementing comprehensive AI/ML and Generative AI application architectures.

• Familiarity with Agentic AI frameworks such as LangGraph, CrewAI, and LlamaIndex.

• Expertise in RAG and large-scale predictive modeling systems.

• Knowledge in establishing MLOps strategies for model CI/CD, governance, and scaling within enterprises.

• Strong proficiency in Docker/Kubernetes containerization.

• Experience in building secure, production-quality REST APIs.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills suitable for executive-level interactions.

• Proven track record in a highly visible client-facing or consulting leadership role.

• Proficient in Arabic is preferred, although not essential.

• Strong familiarity with the DataRobot AI Platform is a significant advantage.
