Lead AI & Data Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Define and develop the target data architecture for a significant cloud transformation project within the financial services sector.

• Design enterprise-scale data architecture and target-state data platform solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Establish Bronze, Silver, and Gold data lakehouse architecture patterns and standards.

• Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models for complex business domains.

• Create data governance frameworks, implement data quality controls, and set metadata standards.

• Define integration architecture, data lineage, and comprehensive data flows.

• Collaborate with both business and technology stakeholders to identify shared data elements and enhancements.

• Assist in the development of analysis-ready datasets and reusable data products.

• Provide architectural direction for BigQuery-based solutions and cloud-native data platforms.

• Evaluate cloud migration strategies and target-state architecture alternatives.

• Ensure compliance with security, Identity and Access Management (IAM), and regulatory requirements.

• Contribute to architecture reviews, technical decision-making, and the establishment of best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in Enterprise Data Architecture.

• Strong understanding of Data Lakehouse architecture, including Bronze, Silver, and Gold patterns.

• Practical experience with GCP architecture design.

• Profound expertise in BigQuery.

• Experience in creating conceptual, logical, and physical data models.

• Familiarity with data governance frameworks and data quality management practices.

• Experience with integration architecture and data lineage methodologies.

• Knowledge of GCP security and IAM principles.

• Experience in the Financial Markets or Surveillance domains.

• Strong skills in stakeholder management and communication.

• Experience with Market Abuse or Unauthorised Trading surveillance systems.

• Familiarity with Vertex AI and machine learning platforms.

• Experience in regulatory reporting or compliance initiatives.

• Hands-on experience with Dataflow or Apache Beam.

• Knowledge of Kubernetes (GKE).

• Experience with Terraform and CI/CD tools.

• Understanding of Java-based enterprise platforms.
