LCU Specialist – Small Commercial

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Oversee, execute, and manage HVAC equipment projects.

• Take ownership of the scope of work, timeline, and budget for assigned projects.

• Plan and evaluate the projects assigned to you.

• Develop schedules, project parameters, and procedures for intricate equipment applications.

• Engage with customers and representatives, including building owners, mechanical contractors, other trades, subcontractors, and field support personnel.

• Address customer issues, take corrective actions, and communicate effectively with customers and designated staff.

• Assess estimated shipping dates against contractors’ project timelines and ensure adherence to internal equipment ordering protocols.

• Maintain accuracy in forecasted cost-at-completion and manage expenses by tracking project budgets.

• Create and update project timelines, including tasks, estimates, dependencies, and milestones.

• Process equipment orders, issue purchase orders, and generate work orders for equipment initiation.

• Conduct timely equipment takeoffs from LCU mechanical plans.

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate’s Degree in business or an equivalent qualification with at least two (2) years of experience in project management, equipment, HVAC, or a related field; OR a minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience; or a combination of education and experience that is considered equivalent.

• Preferred familiarity with HVAC systems and temperature control equipment.

• Demonstrated strong customer service and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Proactive mindset with a readiness to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

• Proven track record of prioritizing tasks to meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
