LCSW/LPCC Behavioral Health Clinician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.

📋 Description

• Deliver assessment and evidence-based care to individuals, families, and groups.

• Engage in a comprehensive Behavioral Health team that supports emergency departments, inpatient medical units, clinical intake, inpatient psychiatric units, outpatient clinics, and primary care service lines.

• Identify, triage, and manage patients experiencing behavioral health issues across diverse settings.

• Provide skill training utilizing patient education strategies.

• Create behavioral health change plans tailored to individual patients and develop behavioral health protocols for specific populations.

• Conduct counseling and case management tasks, including assessment, diagnosis, care planning, intervention, discharge planning, and evaluation.

• Offer counseling to patients and their significant others while facilitating brief psychotherapy and educational groups.

• Execute risk management documentation and necessary follow-up actions.

• Suggest program cost-control strategies to the supervisor.

• Take part in internal Continuous Quality Improvement processes, peer reviews, audits, Joint Commission survey preparations, and clinical path implementations.

• Select and oversee clinical supervision for adjunctive therapists and student interns.

• Maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date patient-chart documentation.

• Propose safety and therapeutic quality measures for unit areas or rooms.

• Act as a professional role model and clinical consultant.

• Participate in ongoing internal and external professional development opportunities.

• Carry out other functions as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master’s Degree.

• NM LCSW or LPCC certification.

• Experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC).

• Capability to deliver assessment and evidence-based care to individuals, families, and groups.

• Proficiency in providing behavioral health consultation and liaison services in emergency departments and inpatient units.

• Skill in performing counseling and case management, including assessment, diagnosis, care planning, intervention, and evaluation.

• Ability to facilitate brief psychotherapy and educational groups.

• Competence in executing risk management documentation and follow-up actions.

• Ability to engage in Continuous Quality Improvement activities, peer reviews, audits, Joint Commission survey preparations, and clinical path implementations.

• Capability to provide clinical supervision to adjunctive therapists and student interns.

• Proficiency in maintaining accurate, complete, and current patient-chart documentation.
