This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Manage contents claims virtually.

• Oversee escalated claims files that involve complex contents.

• Perform comprehensive coverage investigations and ensure accurate application of policies.

• Utilize advanced video technology to collaborate with onsite vendors, assess damages, and create contents damage estimates.

• Engage empathetically with customers throughout the claims process.

• Negotiate settlements with customers, vendors, third-party carriers, and claimants.

• Collaborate with structure adjusters to ensure holistic claim handling.

• Leverage data and analytics to drive decision-making.

• Investigate property claims through detailed damage reviews and policy interpretation.

• Communicate with customers via phone, email, and video chat, respecting their communication preferences.

• Employ negotiation tactics in challenging and complex circumstances.

• Utilize estimating tools, job aids, and settlement platforms.

• Accurately and promptly document claim activities in the claims system.

• Safeguard the company financially by executing policies in accordance with policy agreements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must reside in New York or New Jersey.

• 4+ years of experience utilizing estimating software like Xactimate for complex contents estimating.

• Prior experience in handling property insurance claims.

• A bachelor's degree is preferred.

• Ability to deliver an effortless customer service experience.

• Capability to work independently from home.

• Creative problem-solving skills.

• Well-organized and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

• Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.

• Must undergo a background investigation.

• May be required to obtain an adjuster and/or appraiser license within 60 days of hire, if applicable.

• Must have a dedicated, private workspace free from distractions with the appropriate desk and seating.

• Reliable internet connection with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload.
