This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Perform ownership and title investigations for potential AUM sites, mining claims, and private properties.
• Organize and maintain databases of landowners, mineral rights, surface rights, and encumbrances.
• Assist with due diligence related to site acquisition, staking, leasing, or agreements.
• Monitor changes in land status and update internal databases accordingly.
• Aid in the planning and execution of staking new mining claims on BLM and state lands.
• Ensure adherence to location regulations, monument standards, and submission timelines.
• Record field staking using GPS coordinates, maps, and photographs.
• Support preliminary site visits and field evaluations.
• Prepare and submit POOs, COOs, NOIs, NOEs, and other regulatory documents.
• Collaborate with state agencies, BLM field offices, and other relevant authorities.
• Monitor deadlines, renewals, fees, and necessary updates for active permits and claims.
• Maintain documentation for audits, compliance reviews, and internal reporting processes.
• Assist with land access agreements, correspondence with landowners, and right-of-entry paperwork.
• Facilitate surface disturbance, reclamation reporting, and documentation for regulatory compliance.
• Sustain land databases, mapping files, and GIS-related information in partnership with GIS staff.
• Provide land-related insights to the Resources, Operations, and Corporate Development teams.
• Create maps, summaries, and land packages for leadership and investors.
• Coordinate surveying, drilling access, cultural clearances, and environmental requirements.
• Participate in mandatory safety training and adhere to DISA policies and procedures.
• Execute additional responsibilities as required by the direct supervisor.
• Bachelor’s degree in Land Management, Natural Resources, Environmental Science, Geology, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience and certification (RL, RPL) as a Landman/Permitting Specialist.
• At least 3 years of experience in land research, permitting, compliance, mining claims, or related fields.
• Exceptional organizational abilities and attention to detail.
• Proficient in reading maps, legal land descriptions, and title records.
• Comfortable working outdoors in remote locations for staking and field support activities.
• Skilled in using basic mapping tools and eager to learn GIS workflows.
• Capable of balancing fieldwork and office responsibilities while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to adhere to safety protocols and maintain compliance with OSHA/MSHA and company safety guidelines.
• Must be a valid U.S. citizen or legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods.
• Should be able to walk several miles across rugged terrain under varied and sometimes extreme environmental conditions.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. on occasion.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
• Capable of performing repetitive tasks, such as typing.
