Land Agent – Land Acquisition

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +11 more states.

📋 Description

• Establish and cultivate relationships with landowners to secure sustainable land agreements for renewable project initiatives.

• Acquire executed land leases, land purchases, easements for collection and transmission lines, access roads, title curative instruments, and crossing agreements.

• Execute land acquisition initiatives in collaboration with regional teams.

• Identify prospective landowners, initiate contact, hold meetings, convey the company’s value proposition, and negotiate contracts.

• Provide updates on project priorities and deliver weekly status reports.

• Organize stakeholder meetings and presentations.

• Sustain stakeholder relationships throughout the process of land acquisition and development.

• Adhere to corporate policies regarding land acquisition.

• Assist Community Relations teams with communications to landowners, including update calls, letters, newsletters, and project meetings.

• Project and report on land acquisition budgets.

• Travel to meet landowners and internal clients, attend conferences, and participate in meetings.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in land acquisition.

• Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.

• Certification as RL, RPL, or CPL through the American Association of Professional Landmen is preferred.

• A local Notary license is preferred, or the ability to obtain one.

• Demonstrated experience in sales, account acquisition, and account management.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, along with strong public speaking abilities.

• Experience in contract drafting.

• Familiarity with land, legal, and negotiation principles.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

• Willingness to travel 75% or more of work time.

• Residing in the West Region: California, Arizona, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Utah, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, New Mexico, or Texas is a must.
