Land Acquisition Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Aid in the identification of new land acquisition opportunities that align with the Division's land strategy and business objectives.

• Perform research, conduct analyses, and manage land data to optimize the profitability of current and prospective land assets.

• Provide support to Regional and Divisional teams in evaluating land prospects.

• Extract and analyze data from MLS, company databases, Metrostudy, Land Vision, Zonda, and various external websites.

• Assist the Land Acquisition Team in compiling market study data.

• Review and evaluate due diligence information for potential land assets.

• Support the development of proformas, valuations, and underwriting for prospective land investments.

• Track key date timelines for due diligence, takedowns, closings, and modifications within new and existing projects.

• Help prepare lot committee presentations and accompanying documentation.

• Maintain precise land files, spreadsheets, and databases to monitor land positions.

• Utilize GIS, Google Earth, and additional resources to investigate potential land acquisition opportunities.

• Collaborate with departments, divisions, and regions regarding land positions and critical dates.

• Execute other duties as necessary or assigned.

• Proficient in MS Office, Google Earth, and GIS.

• Highly self-motivated and organized.

• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.

• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously is required.

• Motivated to achieve results with an appropriate sense of urgency.

• Capable of taking initiative and meeting objectives with minimal supervision.

• Team-oriented work ethic and personality.

• Ability to thrive in a remote work environment.

• Strong enthusiasm for working in land acquisition.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Engineering, or Construction, or equivalent relevant work experience.

• 2–3 years of experience in the construction industry or a comparable role.

• Preferred experience in real estate or market research, along with professional knowledge of the residential construction and land brokerage sectors.
