Land Acquisition Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Assist in identifying new land acquisition opportunities that align with the Division's land strategy and business plan objectives.

• Conduct research, analyze data, and manage land information to enhance the profitability of both existing and prospective land assets.

• Provide support to Regional and Divisional teams in evaluating land prospects.

• Extract and analyze data from MLS, company databases, Metrostudy, Land Vision, Zonda, and various external websites.

• Aid the Land Acquisition Team in compiling market study data.

• Review and evaluate due diligence information for potential land assets.

• Assist in the development of proformas, valuations, and underwriting for prospective land investments.

• Monitor critical date timelines for due diligence, takedowns, closings, and modifications within both new and existing projects.

• Help prepare lot committee presentations and related documentation.

• Maintain precise land files, spreadsheets, and databases to monitor land positions.

• Utilize GIS, Google Earth, and other resources to research potential land acquisition opportunities.

• Communicate with various departments, divisions, and regions regarding land positions and critical dates.

• Perform additional duties as required or assigned.

• Proficient in MS Office, Google Earth, and GIS.

• Self-motivated and well-organized.

• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

• Driven to achieve results with a balanced sense of urgency.

• Capable of self-initiating and accomplishing objectives with minimal supervision.

• Team-oriented work ethic and personality.

• Ability to thrive in a remote work environment.

• Strong interest in pursuing a career in land acquisition.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Engineering, or Construction, or equivalent relevant work experience.

• 2–3 years of experience in the construction industry or a comparable role.

• Preferred background includes real estate or market research experience and professional familiarity with the residential construction and land brokerage sectors.
