L1 Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Serve as the first point of contact for security incidents reported through tickets, email, and telephone.

• Conduct continuous monitoring, proactive searches, threat analysis, and vulnerability evaluations.

• Investigate and resolve cybersecurity incidents on behalf of clients.

• Address technical issues independently and escalate more complex problems to Level 2 analysts and Team Leaders as needed.

• Engage in investigations aimed at gathering crucial information.

• Assess and experiment with new monitoring and remediation tools.

• Record all actions taken within incident management systems.

• Suggest enhancements to GFC processes, procedures, and security protocols.

• Work collaboratively with local team members and external personnel.

• Involve yourself in training junior analysts and interns.

⛳️ Requirements

• Student or Graduate in Systems Engineering, Telecommunications, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related field.

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in operational environments (SOC, Help Desk, or similar positions).

• Strong understanding of Windows and Linux Operating Systems.

• Basic knowledge of HTML and web fundamentals.

• Intermediate English proficiency (B1+ or B2, both spoken and written).

• Innate curiosity and enthusiasm for investigative tasks.

• Demonstrated innovation and proactivity.

• Strong communication, problem-solving abilities, and adaptability to change.
