Kurdish VRI/OPI Interpreter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Respond to calls in a professional manner, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be prepared to take notes during each call.

• Familiarize yourself with the specific vocabulary related to the industry in which you interpret, particularly in healthcare and medical fields.

• Accurately and completely convey all messages, without adding, omitting, or substituting any information.

• Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the interpreting process.

• Facilitate communication between clients with Limited English Proficiency and the client by providing precise and complete interpretation of messages.

• Adhere to established standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training sessions.

• Show eagerness to obtain new professional certifications.

• Communicate and report effectively to your team leader.

• Follow dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language "Kurdish-Sorani/Kurmanji."

• Minimum of 1 year of telephone interpretation experience at a reputable interpretation company.

• Solid understanding of medical terminology.

• Knowledge of legal terminology is an advantage.

• International certifications in the healthcare sector are beneficial (e.g., PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• Strong emotional intelligence and cultural tolerance.

• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention abilities.
