Korean VRI/OPI Interpreter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Russia.

📋 Description

• Professionally answer calls while adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be ready to take notes during calls.

• Understand the specific vocabulary related to the healthcare and medical industries.

• Accurately render all messages in their entirety, without adding, omitting, or substituting any content.

• Deliver the highest standard of customer service during interpretation.

• Facilitate effective communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and clients through precise interpretation of messages.

• Implement standards of practice consistently.

• Participate in internal professional training sessions.

• Show enthusiasm for obtaining new professional certifications.

• Communicate and report effectively to your team leader.

• Adhere to dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language "Korean".

• A minimum of 1 year of telephone interpretation experience in a recognized interpretation company is advantageous, but not essential.

• Familiarity with medical terminology is beneficial, though not required.

• Understanding of legal terminology is a plus.

• International certifications in the healthcare sector are advantageous (such as PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• Strong emotional intelligence and cultural sensitivity.

• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills.
