Korean VRI/OPI Interpreter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Respond to calls professionally, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be ready to take notes during a call.

• Familiarize yourself with the specific terminology relevant to the industry in which you will interpret (specifically healthcare and medical) - training will be provided.

• Accurately and completely convey all messages without adding, omitting, or substituting content.

• Deliver the highest standard of customer service during interpretation sessions.

• Enable effective communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and clients by providing precise and thorough interpretations of messages.

• Adhere to established standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training programs.

• Show enthusiasm for obtaining new professional certifications.

• Report and communicate regularly with your team leader.

• Follow dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language 'Korean'.

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in telephone interpretation with a reputable interpretation company is advantageous, but not essential.

• Familiarity with medical terminology is beneficial, though not required.

• Awareness of legal terminology is considered a plus.

• Possession of international certifications in the healthcare sector is advantageous (such as PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• Strong emotional intelligence and tolerance for diverse cultures.

• Exceptional skills in communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention.
