This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +2 more states.
• Develop a deep clinical understanding and identify demand among infectious disease physicians, pharmacists, and microbiology professionals for targeted accounts.
• Promote products by effectively navigating institutional formulary approval processes and educating clients on their appropriate use.
• Enhance institutional product accessibility by engaging with Pharmacy Directors, ID Pharmacists, ID Physicians, Microbiologists, and other pivotal customers.
• Provide education to physicians and stakeholders through individual meetings, presentations, professional education programs, and other suitable methods.
• Foster professional relationships with ID opinion leaders, hospital medical staff, pharmacies, and various stakeholders.
• Create opportunities for product education and collaborate with local/regional thought leaders and professional organizations.
• Meet and surpass call plan and field productivity expectations, dedicating five full-time days in the field each week.
• Work in conjunction with Regional Account Management, Market Access Leadership, Medical Affairs, and Marketing teams.
• Identify and share field issues, opportunities, competitive activities, KOL interactions, and formulary modifications.
• Attain territory formulary adoption goals while adhering to ethical market access practices and regulations.
• Implement brand strategies and ensure consistent company marketing messaging.
• Analyze territory data to craft account plans, optimize routing, and maximize field resources.
• Accurately report field activities and territory expenses while submitting written reports by management deadlines.
• Maintain positive relationships with colleagues, customers, and management.
• Conduct business in accordance with PDMA/Sample regulations, company policies, and procedures.
• Engage in continuous learning and professional development in sales, communication, managed care, and product knowledge.
• Maintain company equipment and promotional materials effectively.
• Participate in company-sponsored meetings, including POAs, national meetings, and conventions; in-person attendance may be required.
• A BS/BA degree is required.
• Experience in a hospital-based pharmaceutical environment is necessary.
• Proven experience in hospital or health system settings with a strong preference for anti-infective, critical care, or intravenous experience.
• Must successfully complete relevant training and demonstrate proficiency in product knowledge.
• Strong understanding of hospital product purchasing, ordering, administration, formulary processes, and reimbursement policies is essential.
• Ability to navigate hospital systems and connect with key decision-makers.
• Experience in building relationships within institutional environments.
• A demonstrated history of facilitating educational programs.
• Capability to communicate clinical data and scientific product information effectively.
• Experience in securing hospital product formulary approval through P&T committees within the IV antibiotic or related categories.
• Background in business-to-business relations and/or strong influencing abilities.
• Documented history of performance and achievements.
• Excellent oral, presentation, and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and listening abilities.
• Capability to work independently while also collaborating internally.
• Must be proactive, self-motivated, and possess strong problem-solving skills.
• Digital proficiency, including the ability to deliver presentations using an iPad.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
• Must reside within the designated geographic territory.
• A valid driver's license with a clean driving record and the ability to pass a comprehensive background check is required.
• Must hold valid licenses and credentials necessary for conducting business in the assigned territory.
• Willingness and ability to travel approximately 80% of the year.
• Ability to drive or fly to meetings and conventions.
• Some overnight and/or weekend travel may be necessary.
