JVM Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement backend services and APIs tailored for business applications.

• Work collaboratively with Product Owners, Business Engineers, Frontend Developers, UX Designers, and Software Architects.

• Create technical solutions within a cross-functional agile team environment.

• Design and execute automated, integration, and API testing procedures.

• Engage in backlog refinement and assist with story/task creation.

• Architect and implement scalable and maintainable backend systems.

• Produce pull requests and perform code evaluations.

• Transfer knowledge and provide training to the internal development team.

• Address bugs and offer production support following go-live.

• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and ensure platform reliability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in backend development, at an advanced to senior level.

• Proficiency in Java.

• Familiarity with Spring Boot.

• Experience in REST APIs and Microservices.

• Knowledge of JUnit.

• Expertise in Maven.

• Strong understanding of backend architecture and design.

• Experience in automated testing.

• Skills in integration testing.

• Ability to conduct code reviews.

• Adherence to Clean Code principles.

• Proficiency in Polish and English, with a minimum B2 level.
