Junior/Semi Senior Back-End Engineer – Python

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Dominican Republic.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful APIs.

• Create scalable applications utilizing Django, Flask, or FastAPI.

• Collaborate with front-end developers, DevOps, and other teams to ensure seamless system integration.

• Optimize applications for enhanced performance, reliability, and security.

• Troubleshoot, debug, and refine existing applications.

• Actively identify opportunities for technical enhancements and best practices.

• Stay informed about emerging technologies and contemporary backend development methodologies.

• Contribute to transformative technology initiatives for U.S. companies through Truelogic’s nearshore staff augmentation services.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1–3 years of professional experience in Python backend development.

• Strong knowledge of RESTful API development and best practices.

• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, as well as ORM frameworks.

• Proficiency in Git and adherence to software development best practices.

• Experience with Django, Flask, or FastAPI is preferred.

• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or other containerization technologies is advantageous.

• Familiarity with AWS, GCP, or Azure is a plus.

• Knowledge of asynchronous programming and task queues, such as Celery, is beneficial.

• Experience with testing frameworks such as Pytest is a plus.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and microservices architecture is a plus.

• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

• A proactive, problem-solving attitude with a readiness to take ownership and embrace continuous learning.

• A reliable internet connection and laptop are required for remote work.

• Must currently reside in Latin America.
