Junior Workflow Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assess business workflows and pinpoint areas for automation, working under guidance.

• Aid in the design and implementation of workflow architectures, supervised by senior developers.

• Convert business needs into technical solutions.

• Develop customized applications and modules within Zoho Creator with mentorship.

• Create multi-step workflows utilizing Zoho Flow and N8N.

• Integrate third-party APIs and webhooks to facilitate data transfer between systems.

• Compose Deluge scripts to manage data and apply business logic.

• Produce clean, well-documented front-end and back-end code using HTML/CSS/JavaScript, Node.js, or Python.

• Utilize JavaScript and JSON for API interactions, data parsing, and custom code implementations.

• Develop Python scripts tailored for data processing and automation tasks.

• Monitor and troubleshoot automated workflows effectively.

• Ensure data consistency and security across integrated systems.

• Identify and resolve integration challenges.

• Generate technical documentation and process flowcharts.

• Contribute to the creation of training materials and user guides.

• Seek constructive feedback, enhance technical skills, and collaborate with team members on best practices and emerging technologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2-5 years of professional experience in software development, automation, or related technical fields (or recent graduate with a strong portfolio).

• Practical knowledge of building applications and writing Deluge scripts in Zoho Creator.

• Familiarity with the design and implementation of basic to intermediate workflows in Zoho Flow.

• Knowledge of QuickBooks Online API.

• Understanding of N8N with the ability to construct multi-step workflows.

• Basic experience in connecting applications and creating automations using Zapier (or similar tools).

• Proficient in JavaScript and HTML/CSS for front-end development.

• Basic to intermediate understanding of Node.js or Python for back-end scripting.

• Strong understanding of RESTful API principles and their application.

• Basic knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts.

• Capability to write clean and readable code with meticulous attention to detail.

• Experience with APIs and webhooks.

• Familiarity with JSON and JavaScript for data handling.

• Understanding of the basics of Deluge scripting.

• Must be fully committed and not engaged in other freelance, part-time, or consulting work concurrently.

• Must be consistently available during core working hours aligned with Pacific Time (PT).
