Junior Software Engineer, Java

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and sustain Java applications while adhering to software development best practices.

• Engage in the collection and comprehension of both business and technical requirements with the support of the team.

• Aid in the creation and revision of technical documentation, workflows, and diagrams.

• Apply enhancements and rectify issues in existing systems.

• Assist in identifying and resolving application challenges through code analysis and debugging.

• Collaborate with senior developers on the advancement and upkeep of systems.

• Take part in technical discussions and offer suggestions for enhancing products and processes.

• Create and manage unit and integration tests.

• Contribute to the development and maintenance of APIs and services.

• Work in partnership with multidisciplinary teams utilizing agile methodologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree completed or in progress in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.

• Proficiency in Java development.

• Fundamental understanding of relational databases and SQL (Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL).

• Familiarity with version control systems, specifically Git.

• Understanding of agile methodologies, including Scrum or Kanban.

• Knowledge of object-oriented programming and basic design pattern concepts.

• Experience with automated testing using JUnit, Mockito, or similar frameworks.

• Exposure to Spring Boot is advantageous.

• Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) tools is a plus.

• Basic knowledge of Python and applications of artificial intelligence is a plus.
